It carries a TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) coating that extends tool life under high-heat cutting conditions. The 140-degree split point with UR-thinned web reduces entry force and helps the bit self-center without a pilot hole. At 2.875 inches overall length with a 1.281-inch flute, this is a standard jobber proportion suited for general-purpose drilling in a drill press, CNC machining center, or hand-held power drill.
