The ACCUPRO 430-MG is a single point tool bit designed for precision metal cutting operations in lathe and turning applications. Built with a micrograin solid carbide tip, the 430-MG delivers consistent edge retention and surface finish quality across a range of workpiece materials. The shank measures 3/4 inches in both width and height, providing a rigid, stable platform in the tool holder. With a neutral cutting direction, this tool bit is suited for straight-line cuts without lateral bias. Overall length is 4-1/2 inches. It is installed and used by machinists and CNC lathe operators in production and job-shop environments.
The 430-MG is appropriate for chamfering, facing, forming, and turning operations on manual and CNC lathes. The square nose profile makes it well suited for forming flat-bottomed features and square shoulder cuts. The micrograin carbide grade supports applications requiring fine grain structure for sharp, durable cutting edges. This tool bit fits standard tool holders accepting 3/4-inch square shank inserts and is sold individually.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new installation for standard tool holders accepting a 3/4 inch square shank single point tool bit with a C-12 industry standard designation.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician. The lathe or turning center must be fully powered down and the spindle locked before seating or removing tool bits. Secure the shank firmly in the tool holder to the holder manufacturer's specified clamping method to prevent chatter or tool movement during cutting. Inspect the carbide tip for chipping or wear before each use.
