The ACCUPRO 41342320 is a single-end ball end mill designed for precision milling of contoured surfaces, slots, and complex 3D profiles in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from solid carbide, the tool delivers the rigidity and wear resistance required for high-speed machining applications. It features a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch) mill diameter, a 0.1160 inch length of cut, and an AlTiCrN coating that extends tool life by reducing heat buildup and oxidation at the cutting edge. The variable index geometry helps reduce harmonic chatter during cut, improving surface finish and dimensional accuracy. Machinists and CNC operators in production and job shop environments are the primary users.
This ball end mill is suited for finish and semi-finish milling passes on dies, molds, and complex workpiece geometries where a full-radius tip profile is required. The 1/8 inch shank diameter makes it compatible with standard collet systems used on CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles. The 1-1/2 inch overall length provides a compact, rigid setup that minimizes deflection in tight-tolerance work. Applications include contour milling, profile milling, and 3D surface finishing in steel, stainless, and hardened alloy materials where coating performance is critical.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed milling spindles equipped with standard 1/8 inch collet or toolholder systems. Verify runout tolerance and collet condition before use to maintain dimensional accuracy at this diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, powered-down state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet and torque the collet nut according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Confirm tool runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as runout at small diameters accelerates edge wear and can cause premature tool failure.
