The ACCUPRO 40680076 is a right-hand external grooving toolholder designed for indexable insert grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to GMEL style geometry in the CI series, it accepts all GD24 style inserts with a 2.0 mm width and uses a screw-type insert holding method for secure, repeatable positioning. The steel shank measures 0.75 inches square, with an overall length of 5.0 inches and a maximum depth of cut of 23.0 mm. Cutting direction is left hand. This toolholder is suited for machinists and production turning operations requiring precise, narrow-groove profiling on external workpiece diameters.

The 40680076 is applied in external grooving operations on turned parts where controlled groove width and depth are critical. With a minimum and maximum groove width of 2.0 mm and a head length of 23.0 mm, it is well-suited for O-ring grooves, snap ring grooves, and parting-adjacent profile cuts on steel, aluminum, and similar machinable materials. The 0.75-inch square shank fits standard turning center tool stations. Coolant-through capability is not included. No inserts are included with the toolholder; compatible inserts must be ordered separately using compatible insert size code 02.
