The ACCUPRO 39468 is a 4-flute square end mill designed for general-purpose milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from powdered metal with a TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) finish, it delivers improved heat resistance and extended tool life compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The 30-degree helix angle and spiral flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. At 0.25 inches in cutting diameter with a 0.625-inch length of cut, this end mill suits slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills alike. A 0.375-inch shank fits standard R8, ER, and side-lock toolholders. Centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry into workpiece material.
This end mill is well suited for job shops, production machining, and toolroom work involving steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration match the standard spindle rotation of most vertical and horizontal machining centers. The 2.4375-inch overall length provides adequate reach for typical workholding setups without excessive overhang. It ships as a single unit and is appropriate for machinists sourcing replacement or first-run tooling for short-run and production applications.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new-installation square end mill for any machining setup requiring a 0.375-inch shank, 0.25-inch cutting diameter, 4-flute, right-hand configuration.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the correct depth in the toolholder and torque the retention fastener per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut, especially on finish passes or tight-tolerance work.
