The ACCUPRO 39435 is a square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hardened materials. Built from powdered metal with a TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) finish, it delivers improved heat resistance and extended tool life compared to standard HSS tooling. The 5/16 inch cutting diameter and 4-flute spiral geometry produce a clean surface finish while efficiently evacuating chips. At 2-1/2 inches overall length with a 3/4 inch length of cut, this end mill fits standard toolholders and suits general-purpose profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling. Centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole. Installed by machinists and CNC operators in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is well suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials on vertical mills, CNC machining centers, and knee mills. The 3/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation match conventional spindle rotation. The spiral flute design promotes smooth cutting action and reduces chatter during side milling and finishing passes. This tool is appropriate for both light profiling and moderate material removal in shop and production settings.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 3/8 inch shank square end mill applications in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and knee mills using compatible collet or end mill holder tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth and tighten to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates tool wear and degrades surface finish.
