The ACCUPRO 38493342 is a double angle milling cutter designed for precision milling of V-grooves, chamfers, and dovetail features in metalworking applications. Manufactured from solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating, this cutter delivers hardness and heat resistance suited to ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 60-degree included angle, a 1/4 inch cut diameter, and a 0.072 inch cutting width. With 4 teeth and an overall length of 2.5 inches, it is sized for light-duty, high-precision work on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Installation and operation are handled by machinists and tooling professionals.
This cutter is suited for shops performing milling operations that require consistent angular profiles. The 1/4 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets and toolholders commonly found in both CNC and manual mill setups. The reduced neck diameter of 1/8 inch and neck length of 0.697 inches provide clearance for contoured or recessed features. Typical applications include V-groove milling, chamfering, engraving, and dovetail slot preparation on steel, aluminum, stainless, and similar materials. This is a single-piece, solid carbide tool intended for direct spindle mounting via shank connection.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide double angle milling cutter for use in standard 1/4 inch shank collet toolholders and ER-style collet chucks on CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. The machine spindle must be fully powered down and the tool carousel or quill secured before changing or seating this cutter. Clean the collet bore and shank contact surfaces before mounting to ensure proper runout. Verify that clamping torque on the collet nut meets the toolholder manufacturer specification for 1/4 inch shanks before initiating a cut.
