The ACCUPRO 35346 is a corner chamfer end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built from powdered metal substrate and finished with a TiAlN coating, this tool offers elevated heat resistance and extended wear life at high cutting speeds. It features a 0.625-inch cutting diameter, a 2.5-inch length of cut (LOC), and a 4-5/8-inch overall length (OAL). The 5/8-inch shank diameter provides rigid tool holding in standard milling chucks and collet systems. With four flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, the 35346 delivers efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish on chamfered edges and transitional corner profiles.
This end mill is suited for manual mills, CNC machining centers, and bridgeport-style equipment used in job shops, tool-and-die operations, and production environments. Its centercutting design allows plunge entry, making it versatile for applications that require both peripheral and end cutting. The coarse pitch configuration and right-hand cutting and flute direction are standard for general-purpose machining of steel, stainless, and alloy materials. A licensed machinist or CNC operator typically selects this tool for chamfering, profiling, and light slotting where corner geometry and surface finish are critical.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for 5/8-inch collet chucks, milling chucks, and end mill holders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines requiring a 0.625-inch shank diameter tool.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out, de-energized state per OSHA lockout/tagout requirements. Ensure the shank is clean and fully seated in the holder before torquing the retention screw or collet nut to the holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation, as excessive runout accelerates tool wear and degrades surface finish. Tool selection, speeds, and feeds should be verified against the workpiece material and machine capability before production cuts.
