The ACCUPRO 35314 is a corner chamfer end mill designed for producing chamfered edges and angular profiles in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from powdered metal, this cutter delivers consistent hardness and wear resistance across the full cutting edge. It runs a 3-flute, right-hand cutting and flute configuration with a 30-degree helix angle, making it well suited for general-purpose chamfering operations where chip evacuation and surface finish both matter. The bright, uncoated finish keeps the tool geometry predictable and allows for straightforward re-sharpening when needed. At 0.3125 inches in diameter with a 3/8-inch shank, this end mill fits standard toolholders found on most vertical machining centers and knee mills.
This end mill is used in machine shops and manufacturing environments for chamfering part edges, breaking corners, and producing angled entry features on workpieces. Its centercutting capability allows plunge entry into material without a pre-drilled starting hole, expanding its use in contouring and multi-axis work. The coarse pitch and right-hand geometry are a practical match for steel, aluminum, and similar stock materials. It is typically installed by machinists operating CNC vertical mills or manual knee mills in production or job-shop settings.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills accepting a 3/8-inch shank end mill holder.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lockout the spindle drive before changing tooling, following applicable machine safety procedures. Seat the shank fully in the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, and confirm spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
