The ACCUPRO 335-MG is a left-hand, BL-style single point tool bit designed for lead angle turning operations on the lathe. It features a micrograin solid carbide tip brazed to a 1-inch square shank, giving machinists a rigid, precise cutting tool suited for demanding material removal. The 7-inch overall length and 1/32-inch nose radius make it well-suited for finishing passes as well as interrupted cuts where carbide toughness is required. This tool bit is installed by machinists and tool-room operators working on lathes configured for left-hand cutting, and it weighs 1.6 pounds.
The 335-MG fits standard BL-series tool holders and is appropriate for a range of turning center and engine lathe applications in both job shop and production environments. Its micrograin carbide grade handles boring, chamfering, interrupted cuts, and general turning across ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 1-inch square shank seats securely in tool posts and turrets sized for that shank dimension, making it a direct drop-in for BL-16 industry standard tooling setups.
Designed as an OEM-style fit for BL-16 industry standard tool holders accepting a 1-inch square shank and configured for left-hand cutting direction on engine lathes and turning centers.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tool-room technician. Ensure the lathe is powered down and the spindle is locked before seating or removing tool bits. Secure the shank fully in the tool post or turret to the manufacturer-specified clamping procedure before taking any cuts. Inspect the carbide tip for chipping or wear before each use, particularly after interrupted cut operations.
