The ACCUPRO 32228785 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.2500 inch mill diameter and a 0.2330 inch length of cut, this single-end tool delivers tight-tolerance profiling, contouring, and finishing passes. The 4-flute geometry combined with a variable index design reduces harmonic vibration during cuts, improving surface finish and tool life. An AlTiCrN coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection, making this end mill well-suited for hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other demanding workpiece materials. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in production and job-shop environments.
This ball end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines for 3D contouring, slot milling, and finish profiling on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The 0.2500 inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders in that size range. With a 2.5 inch overall length and a 0.2500 inch neck length, it offers sufficient reach for most shallow-to-moderate-depth cavity work without excessive overhang. It is appropriate for both prototype and production-run applications where surface quality and dimensional accuracy are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production end mill compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.2500 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and de-energized before mounting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully in the collet or holder and torque the retention nut to the toolholder specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cycle, as excessive runout accelerates wear on a carbide tool.
