The ACCUPRO 319901 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 0.5 inch cutting diameter, a 1.25 inch length of cut, and a 6 inch overall length, making it well suited for deep-reach applications where rigidity and accuracy matter. The micrograin carbide substrate provides hardness and wear resistance, while the ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This tool is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators in production and job shop settings.
This end mill is appropriate for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in a range of materials including steel, aluminum, and engineered alloys. The centercutting geometry allows for plunge entry, adding flexibility to the operation. The 37-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces. With a 0.5 inch shank diameter, it mounts directly to standard collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling commonly found in vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 0.5 inch shank square end mill applications in vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers using collet chucks, end mill holders, or shrink-fit toolholders rated for 0.5 inch shank tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state before tool changes. Ensure the shank is clean and free of chips before seating in the holder, and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping before resuming cuts. Consult applicable shop safety standards and machine tool manufacturer guidelines for proper tool-change procedures.
