The ACCUPRO 317305 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin carbide and coated with AlTiCrN, this tool handles aggressive cuts in hardened steels, stainless, and other difficult materials. It runs a 1 inch cutting diameter with a 3.25 inch length of cut and a 40-degree helix angle across 10 flutes. The right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes at high feed rates. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can be used for both peripheral milling and plunge operations. It belongs to the ACCUPRO HS series and is intended for use by experienced machinists and toolroom technicians.
The 317305 is suited for production milling environments where extended reach and deep axial cuts are required. The 3.25 inch length of cut and 6 inch overall length make it appropriate for pocketing, slotting, and profiling operations on larger workpieces or setups that require clearance between the spindle and the part. The 1 inch shank diameter provides rigid tool holding in standard ER or end mill holders. This tool is used in CNC machining centers running ferrous and non-ferrous materials where tool life and dimensional consistency are priorities.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill in the ACCUPRO HS series for use in standard 1 inch end mill holders and collet chucks on CNC machining centers.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists using appropriate tool holders torqued per machine tool manufacturer specifications. Ensure spindle and tool holder are clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after tool setup to avoid premature wear or chipping. Follow shop-standard speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and refer to the tool manufacturer data sheet for recommended cutting parameters.
