The ACCUPRO 317277 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hard materials. With a 1 inch cutting diameter and 0.0300 inch corner radius, it reduces stress concentrations at part corners while maintaining tight tolerances. The 10-flute geometry and 40-degree helix angle promote smooth chip evacuation and surface finish in high-speed finishing passes. An AlCrTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life under demanding cutting conditions. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can plunge directly into workpiece material. It is installed and used by machinists and CNC tooling professionals in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is suited for finish milling, contour milling, and corner-radius profiling in ferrous alloys, hardened steels, stainless steels, and similar difficult-to-machine materials. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders with a 1 inch bore. Its 1.25 inch length of cut accommodates moderate-depth axial passes without sacrificing rigidity. The HS series designation indicates a high-performance geometry optimized for stability in tight-tolerance work. This tool is commonly used on vertical machining centers and CNC mills in both roughing-to-finish and finish-only operations where corner geometry must be held precisely.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with a 1 inch straight-cylindrical collet or end mill holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully de-energized and at a complete stop before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the holder to the minimum insertion depth recommended by the holder manufacturer, and torque the collet nut or set screw according to the holder specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut to avoid premature tool wear or part rejection.
