The ACCUPRO 317249 is a 10-flute, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. It features a 3/4-inch diameter, a 1-inch length of cut, and a 0.0300-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the tool corner, extending tool life in aggressive cuts. The micrograin carbide substrate and AlCrTiN coating provide thermal resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures. This end mill is a single-end, centercutting design with a right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral, suited for machinists running high-speed finishing and semi-finishing passes on ferrous and hard materials.
The 317249 is intended for CNC milling applications in job shops, production machining, and tool-and-die environments. The 40-degree helix angle improves chip evacuation and surface finish, making it well suited for side milling, slotting, and contouring operations. The straight-cylindrical shank mates with standard ER collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling. This tool is part of the ACCUPRO HS Series, which targets high-speed machining strategies on hardened steels, stainless alloys, and similar difficult-to-machine materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement end mill for CNC machining centers using standard 3/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank toolholders, including ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and powered down before changing tooling. Verify collet or toolholder bore diameter matches the 3/4-inch shank before clamping, and confirm runout with a dial indicator after securing the tool. Follow the machine manufacturer and cutting tool manufacturer recommendations for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut appropriate to the workpiece material.
