The ACCUPRO 317232 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features an 8-flute configuration with a 0.0600-inch corner radius and a 40-degree helix angle, making it well-suited for finishing operations where edge quality and dimensional consistency are critical. The AlCrTiN coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection, extending tool life in abrasive or high-heat cutting environments. With a 5/8-inch diameter and a 3/4-inch length of cut, this end mill is sized for medium-stock removal and finish passes on ferrous and hardened materials. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers typically specify this tool for mold, die, and precision component work.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills running right-hand cutting operations. The single-end, centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as peripheral and face milling. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly in standard ER collets or end mill holders with 5/8-inch bore. It is suited for finishing slots, pockets, and contoured surfaces in tool steel, stainless steel, hardened alloys, and similar materials where a tight corner radius callout is required on the finished part.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit tool for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 5/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank in ER collet chucks or end mill holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or tool-change state before loading or unloading the tool. Seat the shank fully in the collet or holder and torque the retention hardware to the tool holder specification before running. Verify runout at the cutting edge before initiating a program, as excessive runout on an 8-flute tool accelerates uneven flute wear.
