The ACCUPRO 31623366 is a double angle milling cutter designed for precise angular slotting, chamfering, and dovetail operations on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Built from solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, this cutter handles hardened steels, stainless, and heat-resistant alloys without rapid edge breakdown. The included angle measures 60 degrees, the cut diameter is 5/32 inches, and the cutting width is 0.045 inches. The 3/16-inch shank connects directly to standard collet systems. Four flutes provide a balance of chip clearance and edge strength suited to tight-tolerance angular features.
This cutter is suited for tool and die work, mold making, and precision part manufacturing where consistent angular profiles are required. The narrow 0.045-inch cutting width and 5/64-inch neck diameter allow the tool to reach into confined slots and recessed geometry without interference. The 2.5-inch overall length provides reach while keeping deflection minimal at the shank. Machinists and toolmakers working with ferrous and exotic alloys will find the AlTiN coating particularly effective in dry or minimal-lubrication cutting environments.
Designed as a shank-style double angle milling cutter compatible with standard collet-based toolholding systems on CNC and manual milling machines accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the cutter from the collet. Seat the shank fully into the collet bore and torque the collet nut to the toolholder specification before cutting. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before use and replace the cutter at the first sign of chipping or edge wear to avoid workpiece damage.
