The ACCUPRO 31615792 is a solid carbide double angle milling cutter designed for precise angular milling operations in metalworking applications. Built with a 90-degree included angle and a cutting diameter of 3/16 inches, this cutter delivers accurate chamfering, V-groove cutting, and dovetail preparation on hardened and difficult-to-machine materials. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in high-speed dry or semi-dry cutting environments. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 3/16-inch shank, it mounts directly in standard collet chucks and tool holders without adapters. Four cutting teeth provide a balance of chip clearance and surface finish quality.
This cutter is suited for CNC machining centers, manual mills, and tool-and-die work where consistent angular profiles are required. It is used in aerospace, mold and die, and general precision machining shops for chamfering edges, cutting V-grooves, and forming angled seats. The 3/32-inch neck diameter and 1.405-inch neck length allow access to recessed or stepped part features where a straight end mill would not reach. Machinists and CNC operators working with steel, stainless, cast iron, and high-temp alloys will find this geometry well-suited to their applications.
Designed for use in standard collet chucks and tool holders accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter. Suitable for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines configured for small-diameter carbide tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully within the collet or tool holder to the recommended gauge-line depth before tightening. Confirm spindle runout is within acceptable tolerance before cutting, as excessive runout accelerates wear on small-diameter carbide tools. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling.
