The ACCUPRO 315951 is a single-end ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers superior rigidity and edge retention compared to high-speed steel tooling. The 3/4-inch cutting diameter pairs with a 1-inch length of cut and a 37-degree right-hand spiral helix, optimizing chip evacuation and reducing heat buildup during aggressive cuts. A zirconium nitride (ZrN) coating adds surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in production and job-shop settings.
This ball end mill is suited for contour milling, profiling, and 3D surface finishing in materials including steel, aluminum, and alloy metals. The extended reach design, with a 3.375-inch reach length and 6-inch overall length, makes it capable of accessing deeper pockets and tall workpiece features without sacrificing rigidity. The 3/4-inch shank diameter provides a secure, consistent grip in standard end mill holders and collet chucks. Single-end construction makes it a direct, no-flip tool for dedicated CNC machining center and manual milling machine use.
Designed for use in standard 3/4-inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and hydraulic toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills accepting a 3/4-inch shank diameter.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or locked-out state before loading or unloading the tool. Verify toolholder clamping torque per the toolholder manufacturer specification and confirm runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
