The ACCUPRO 315377 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations where controlled corner geometry and tool longevity are critical. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with ZrN (zirconium nitride), it delivers extended tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 3/16 inch cutting diameter pairs with a 5/16 inch length of cut and a 37-degree helix angle. Three flutes and centercutting capability allow for slot milling, plunge cuts, and profile work. Extended reach with a 1-3/8 inch reach length makes this tool suited for deep-cavity and contour applications where standard-length tools cannot access the workpiece.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines across tool-and-die, aerospace, mold making, and general precision machining environments. The ZrN coating reduces friction and improves wear resistance, making it appropriate for higher-speed applications in aluminum, brass, copper, and some hardened steels. The corner radius geometry generates a blend between the flat face and the flank, reducing stress concentrations at the tool corner and improving workpiece surface finish at floor-to-wall transitions. The single-end configuration and right-hand cutting direction are standard for conventional CNC toolpaths.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting 3/16 inch shank toolholders, collets, or ER-style chucks with matching bore size.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the tool from the toolholder. Verify collet or chuck bore matches the 3/16 inch shank diameter and that runout is within acceptable limits before committing to a cut. Do not exceed the rated length of cut or extend the tool beyond the reach length, as overextension increases deflection and risk of tool breakage.
