The ACCUPRO 315374 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. It carries a ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating for improved wear resistance and reduced friction at the cutting edge. The mill features a 3/16 inch diameter, a 5/16 inch length of cut, and a 3 inch overall length with an extended reach configuration. With a 37-degree helix angle and three flutes in a right-hand spiral, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and consistent surface finish. Centercutting geometry allows direct plunging into workpiece material. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production environments rely on this tool for contour milling and finishing passes where corner geometry accuracy is critical.
The 315374 is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where a long-reach, small-diameter end mill is required. The extended reach neck diameter of 0.1781 inches and a reach length of 1.375 inches allow access to deep pockets and recessed features that standard-length end mills cannot reach. The corner radius geometry helps reduce stress concentration at the tool-workpiece interface, making it appropriate for finishing operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where micrograin carbide and ZrN coating provide the necessary hardness and lubricity.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use end mill for CNC machining centers and milling machines accepting a 3/16 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into a properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the retention system according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use; do not run a chipped or damaged carbide end mill.
