The ACCUPRO 314944 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 5/8 inch (0.6250 inch) cutting diameter, a 2-1/2 inch length of cut, and a 37-degree helix angle, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting performance across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and edge retention needed for demanding production and job-shop applications. It is a single-end, right-hand cutting and flute-direction tool with a bright/uncoated finish. Machinists and CNC operators install and use this end mill with standard toolholding setups on milling machines and machining centers.
This end mill is suited for slot milling, peripheral milling, and profiling operations in general metalworking, mold and die, and precision machining environments. The 5/8 inch shank diameter matches the cutting diameter, making it compatible with standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and similar toolholding systems commonly found in both manual and CNC milling setups. The spiral flute geometry and 37-degree helix promote smooth cutting action and reduced chatter across a variety of workpiece materials.
Designed as a standard-shank replacement or production end mill for 5/8 inch bore end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and similar toolholding systems on CNC and manual milling machines. No specific machine model compatibility was provided by the manufacturer.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and power is off or the machine is in a safe state before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Verify shank seating depth and holder runout before initiating a cut. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended depth-of-cut and feed rate parameters for the workpiece material and machine setup.
