The ACCUPRO 314577 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, alloy, and hard material applications. It features a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, a 3/4 inch length of cut (LOC), and a 37-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Manufactured from micrograin solid carbide, this tool delivers rigidity and wear resistance suited to close-tolerance work. The bright/uncoated finish makes it compatible with a wide range of cutting fluids and base materials. Machined with three flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration, it balances material removal rate with surface finish quality. This end mill is a single-end tool and is not rated for extended-reach applications.
This end mill is used in manual and CNC milling operations across job shops, tool rooms, and production machining environments. It fits standard 1/4 inch collets and end mill holders. The regular-length geometry and centercutting design allow it to perform both peripheral milling and plunge cuts. It is well suited to slotting, profiling, and contouring passes in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Machinists and CNC operators working with mills, vertical machining centers, or router-style platforms will find the 1/4 inch shank compatible with common toolholding systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tool for milling machines and CNC machining centers equipped with 1/4 inch collets or end mill holders accepting a 1/4 inch shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the full recommended insertion depth in the collet or holder and torque the retention nut to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate tool wear and degrade surface finish.
