The ACCUPRO 314491 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and engineered material applications. It features a 5/32-inch (0.1562-inch) cutting diameter with a 5/16-inch (0.3125-inch) length of cut and a 37-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The three-flute geometry balances chip clearance with edge strength, making it well suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in tighter tolerances. Machinists and toolroom technicians working on CNC mills or manual knee mills will find this end mill sized for detail work and close-tolerance cuts.
This end mill is appropriate for use in light to medium-duty milling applications where a small-diameter, high-rigidity tool is required. The bright/uncoated finish makes it a practical choice for non-ferrous metals, aluminum alloys, brass, and similar materials where coating adhesion is not a primary concern. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC milling spindle rotation. The 3/16-inch shank diameter fits standard collet systems commonly used in CNC machining centers and manual milling equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill replacement suitable for use in standard collet toolholding systems accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician familiar with collet and end mill toolholding systems. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet to the recommended minimum engagement depth and torque the collet nut per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or runout before beginning a new operation.
