The ACCUPRO 314468 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 1/8 inch cutting diameter with a 5/8 inch length of cut and a 2 inch overall length. The three-flute geometry with a 37-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action in a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Manufactured from micrograin solid carbide, this end mill delivers rigidity and edge retention well beyond standard high-speed steel tooling. The bright uncoated finish makes it suitable for applications where coating buildup or material adhesion is a concern.
This end mill is suited for light profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling passes on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The long series length type provides additional reach for workpieces that require deeper pocket access or clearance around fixtures. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional spindle setups. Center-cutting capability allows the tool to plunge directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled pilot hole. This makes it a practical choice for machinists and tool-and-die shops working with tight tolerances on small-diameter features.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/8 inch straight shank end mill.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in an e-stop state before changing tooling. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for 1/8 inch shank diameter and confirm runout is within acceptable tolerance before initiating a cut. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut before operation.
