The ACCUPRO 314456 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch) mill diameter, a 3/8 inch (0.3750 inch) length of cut, and a 1-1/2 inch overall length. The three-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a 37-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 0.0200 inch corner radius protects the cutting edge and reduces stress concentrations in milled pockets and profiles. This tool is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece.
The ACCUPRO 314456 is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight-tolerance profiling, slotting, and pocket milling are required. The micrograin carbide substrate supports high surface speeds and feeds in aluminum, steel, stainless, and similar materials. The single-end, regular-length configuration fits standard 1/8 inch collet chucks and end mill holders. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on precision components will find this tool appropriate for finishing passes and light contouring work where edge blending at corners is critical.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines equipped with a 1/8 inch collet, end mill holder, or equivalent toolholding system accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per shop safety procedures. Ensure the 1/8 inch shank is fully seated and secured in the toolholder to the manufacturer-specified engagement depth. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on a small-diameter tool. Consult machine tool documentation and applicable shop standards for feeds, speeds, and coolant strategy appropriate to the workpiece material.
