The ACCUPRO 313797 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it measures 0.1875 inches in diameter with a 5/16 inch (0.3125 inches) length of cut and a 3-inch overall length. The ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating reduces friction and improves tool life, particularly in non-ferrous and hardened material applications. A 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smoother surface finishes. The 0.010-inch corner radius protects the cutting edge from chipping at part corners. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tool and die professionals working on precision components.
This end mill is suited for milling slots, pockets, and contoured surfaces where a small corner radius is required to reduce stress concentrations in the workpiece. The extended reach design, with a 1.375-inch reach length and a reduced neck diameter of 0.1781 inches, allows access to deep features and stepped geometry without tool holder interference. Centercutting capability permits direct plunge entry. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction make it compatible with standard CNC machining center spindle configurations. Single-end construction means the tool is replaced entirely when worn rather than indexed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide corner radius end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter toolholder.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the control placed in a safe state before loading or unloading any cutting tool. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder matched to the 3/16-inch shank diameter and torque the retention hardware according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout after installation before beginning a production cut.
