The ACCUPRO 313707 is a single-end ball end mill designed for contour milling, profiling, and 3D surface work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The tool is ground from micrograin solid carbide for rigidity and edge retention at elevated cutting speeds. A 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. The ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating adds surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life in demanding applications. With a 3/4-inch diameter and 1-5/8-inch length of cut, this mill suits moderate-depth passes on machining centers and CNC mills. Right-hand cutting and right-hand spiral flute direction are standard for conventional CNC setups.
This end mill is suited for job shops, production machining, die-and-mold work, and toolroom applications where accurate ball-nose profiling is required. The 3/4-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets, milling chucks, and shrink-fit holders commonly found on vertical and horizontal machining centers. The single-end geometry and 4-inch overall length allow reach into moderate-depth pockets without excessive tool deflection. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers on milling equipment requiring controlled surface-finish passes.
Designed for use in standard 3/4-inch toolholders including ER collet chucks, milling chucks, and shrink-fit systems on CNC vertical or horizontal machining centers. Shank diameter tolerance is +0.0001 / -0.0004 inches for secure holder engagement.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before seating or removing the tool from its holder. Verify holder runout with a dial indicator before cutting, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Follow machine-tool manufacturer torque specifications for collet nuts and chuck retention screws — do not overtighten.
