The ACCUPRO 313424 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 3/4 inch mill diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length. The ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in demanding cutting conditions. With a 0.060 inch corner radius, this tool produces a controlled edge break or blend radius on workpiece features. It is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can plunge directly into material. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, aerospace, and general manufacturing use this end mill for profiling, slotting, and contouring applications.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where corner radius geometry is required to reduce stress concentrations at part shoulders. The 45-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional and climb milling on most vertical machining setups. The 3/4 inch shank diameter matches common ER and side-lock toolholders. Micrograin carbide construction supports use on hardened steels, alloy steels, cast iron, and non-ferrous materials at elevated surface speeds.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide corner radius end mill for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 3/4 inch shank diameter toolholder.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool path program is verified before tool engagement. Seat the shank fully in a clean, properly torqued collet chuck or side-lock holder to the specified grip length to prevent pullout. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production cuts, as excessive runout will accelerate tool wear and degrade corner radius geometry.
