The ACCUPRO 313311 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It features a 1/2 inch diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 3 inch overall length. The ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in demanding cutting environments. With a 0.020 inch corner radius, it produces a controlled, blended edge at the bottom of milled slots and pockets, reducing stress concentration in finished parts. The 45-degree helix angle and two-flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation. Installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill is suited for single-end milling applications in CNC machining centers and manual mills. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece, making it effective for slot milling, pocket milling, and profile work. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction are standard for conventional and climb milling setups. Micrograin carbide substrate provides rigidity and wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. It is appropriate for light to medium material removal in precision shop environments where corner geometry control is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling option for 1/2 inch collet or end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines requiring a corner radius end mill with a 1/2 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Secure the shank in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder to the full clamping depth to prevent tool pullout. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production cutting, as excessive runout accelerates wear and degrades surface finish.
