The ACCUPRO 313021 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations where a controlled edge radius and sharp corner geometry are required. It features a 1/4 inch mill diameter, a 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 2-1/2 inch overall length. The 0.030 inch corner radius reduces edge chipping and stress concentration at the base of milled features. A ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating improves surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in a range of workpiece materials. The micrograin solid carbide substrate provides rigidity and wear resistance suited to close-tolerance work. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators in job shop and production environments.
The 313021 is suited for slot milling, peripheral milling, and profiling cuts where a radiused corner is specified on the finished part. The 2-flute, right-hand spiral configuration supports efficient chip evacuation in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. With a 1/4 inch shank diameter matching the mill diameter, it fits standard 1/4 inch toolholders, collet chucks, and shrink-fit holders commonly used on vertical machining centers and CNC mills in light-to-medium material removal applications.
Designed as a replacement or production-use end mill for standard 1/4 inch collet, hydraulic, or shrink-fit toolholders on CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills requiring a corner radius end geometry.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the toolholder to the recommended gauge line and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut to confirm proper seating and holder condition.
