The ACCUPRO 312934 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built from micrograin carbide, it delivers the hardness and edge retention needed for demanding cuts in steel, aluminum, and similar materials. The tool features a 45-degree helix angle with a spiral flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during cutting. A ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating adds surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in abrasive or high-feed applications. This end mill is centercutting, allowing it to plunge directly into a workpiece without a pre-drilled entry point. It is sized for light, precise work with a 0.125-inch diameter and a 0.625-inch length of cut.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and benchtop milling machines used in job shops, production environments, and toolrooms. The 0.125-inch diameter makes it well matched for slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations where fine detail and tight tolerances are required. It is typically installed and used by machinists and CNC operators working with ferrous and non-ferrous metals, composites, and engineering plastics.
Designed as a standard single-end square end mill for use in collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders with a 0.125-inch bore. Compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting 1/8-inch shank tooling.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle at a full stop and all power isolated. Seat the 0.125-inch shank fully into the collet or holder and torque the retention nut according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or wear before each use, as micrograin carbide is brittle and sensitive to improper handling. Follow shop-standard feeds and speeds for the specific workpiece material to avoid premature edge failure.
