The ACCUPRO 312811 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. It features a 1-inch diameter, a 3.25-inch length of cut, and a 6-inch overall length, making it well suited for deep-cavity and extended-reach profiling work. The 7-flute configuration increases chip load per tooth at higher feed rates while maintaining a stable cutting edge. An AlCrTiN coating provides excellent oxidation resistance and hardness at elevated temperatures, supporting dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. The 38-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. This tool installs in standard straight-shank toolholders and is typically set up by CNC machinists or toolroom operators working with milling machines.

The 312811 is a noncentercutting end mill, meaning it is intended for peripheral and profiling cuts rather than direct plunge entry. It is well suited for side milling, slot finishing, and contour work in ferrous and hardened alloy materials. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the toughness and wear resistance needed for long tool life in production environments. The 0.060-inch corner radius protects the cutting edge from chipping at the tip and leaves a consistent radius blend at the base of pocketed or profiled features.

Compatibility

Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 1-inch straight-shank toolholders used in CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines. Intended for use in the ACCUPRO HS series tooling program.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the tool-change procedure for the specific machine must be followed before handling the cutter. Secure the shank in a collet, set-screw, or hydraulic toolholder to the holder manufacturer's specified torque and runout tolerances. Verify corner radius orientation and tool projection before running the first cut, and confirm the noncentercutting designation before programming any plunge moves.
