The ACCUPRO 312770 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding material removal in ferrous and hard alloy applications. It features a 3/4 inch diameter, a 3-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 6 inch overall length, making it well suited for deep-cavity profiling and finishing passes. The 7-flute geometry paired with a 38-degree helix angle improves chip evacuation and surface finish at higher feed rates. An AlCrTiN coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection when cutting at elevated temperatures. The straight cylindrical shank measures 3/4 inch in diameter for direct collet or end mill holder clamping. This tool is sized and configured for professional machining environments.
The 312770 is intended for use in vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers handling roughing and semi-finishing operations in materials such as hardened steels, stainless alloys, and high-temp alloys where the AlCrTiN coating delivers meaningful tool life. The corner radius end type blends the floor and wall of a milled pocket, reducing stress concentration and improving part surface quality. The non-centercutting design means this tool requires a pre-drilled or pre-milled entry point and is not suited for direct plunge cuts. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction are standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill compatible with standard 3/4 inch collets, shrink-fit holders, and end mill holders used in CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down the spindle and confirm it has come to a full stop before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the holder to the recommended gauge length and torque the retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout at the cutting edge with a dial test indicator before beginning the first cut, as runout in a 7-flute tool accelerates uneven wear.
