The ACCUPRO 312695 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. With a 5/8 inch (0.6250 inch) cutting diameter and 7 flutes, it delivers a high feed-per-tooth rate suitable for finishing and semi-finishing passes in hard and abrasive materials. The AlTiCrN coating provides excellent heat resistance and wear protection at elevated cutting temperatures. A 38 degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Overall length is 5 inches with a 2 inch length of cut. Single-end geometry and right-hand cutting and flute direction are standard. Micrograin carbide substrate supports edge integrity under aggressive cutting conditions.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where tight tolerances and surface finish quality are required. The 5/8 inch shank diameter fits standard ER and end mill holders. It is well suited for profiling, slotting, and contouring operations in steel, stainless steel, hardened alloys, and cast iron. This is a non-centercutting design, meaning it is not intended for direct plunging. Machinists and CNC operators working in production shops, tool rooms, and job shops will find this tool appropriate for high-efficiency side milling and peripheral cutting strategies.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or upgrade for standard 5/8 inch shank end mill holders across CNC machining centers and manual knee mills using ER collet chucks or end mill holder tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the full recommended gauge-line depth in the holder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear and degrades surface finish on a 7-flute tool.
