The ACCUPRO 312575 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in ferrous and hard materials. It features a 3/8 inch diameter cutting edge, seven flutes, and an AlTiCrN (aluminum titanium chromium nitride) coating that improves heat resistance and extends tool life at elevated cutting speeds. The 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. With a 1/2 inch length of cut and 2 inch overall length, this end mill is well suited for shallow-to-moderate depth passes in demanding machining environments. It is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
This end mill fits applications requiring tight tolerances and smooth surface finishes in hardened steels, stainless steels, cast iron, and similar difficult-to-machine materials. The seven-flute geometry increases the number of cutting edges in contact with the workpiece, allowing for higher feed rates at reduced chip loads per tooth. It is appropriate for finishing and semi-finishing operations in production machining, toolroom work, and die and mold applications where tool rigidity and coating durability are priorities. The 3/8 inch shank diameter matches standard collet and end mill holder sizes common to most machining setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill compatible with standard 3/8 inch collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling systems used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's tooling guidelines. Secure the shank fully within the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth before torquing the retention hardware. Confirm spindle runout is within acceptable limits before cutting, as excessive runout accelerates carbide tool wear. Always follow shop safety protocols, including proper guarding and chip containment, when operating end mills at high RPM.
