The ACCUPRO 312444 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. It features a 1-inch diameter with a 0.030-inch corner radius, a 1.25-inch length of cut, and a 6-inch overall length with a 3.375-inch extended reach. The five-flute, right-hand spiral configuration combined with a 38-degree variable index helix delivers smooth chip evacuation and reduced chatter. An AlCrTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other difficult materials. This end mill is centercutting and suited for plunge, slot, and profile milling operations. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is well suited for use on CNC machining centers handling ferrous and non-ferrous materials where corner integrity and surface finish are critical. The extended reach neck diameter of 0.950 inches allows access to deep pockets and shoulders without sacrificing rigidity. The single-end, solid carbide micrograin construction supports high-speed and high-feed strategies in both roughing and semi-finishing applications. It fits standard 1-inch toolholders including shrink-fit, hydraulic, and Weldon-style holders commonly found in production environments.
Designed for use in standard 1-inch diameter CNC toolholders. Compatible with shrink-fit, hydraulic, and set-screw style holders accepting a 1-inch shank diameter. Intended for use on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the toolholder is clean and free of chips or debris before seating the shank to the recommended gauge line. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate tool wear and degrade surface finish. Always verify spindle speed and feed rate parameters against the toolmaker recommendations for the specific workpiece material before engaging the cut.
