The ACCUPRO 312233 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. It features a 1/2 inch diameter, a 5/8 inch length of cut, and a 6 inch overall length, making it well suited for extended reach applications. The AlCrTiN coating provides excellent heat and wear resistance, supporting higher cutting speeds and longer tool life in hard or abrasive materials. With a 5-flute, right-hand spiral configuration and a variable index design, this end mill delivers improved chip evacuation and reduced chatter. The 0.020 inch corner radius protects the cutting edge and produces a consistent radius at the base of milled features. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install and operate this tool.
This end mill is built for single-end, centercutting use in vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers. The extended reach design, with a 4-1/8 inch reach length and a 0.475 inch neck diameter, allows access to deep pockets, cavities, and stepped features that standard-length tools cannot reach. It is appropriate for use in mold and die work, aerospace components, and precision part production where tight tolerances and consistent corner geometry are required. The micrograin carbide substrate supports rigidity and edge retention across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for CNC machining centers accepting a 1/2 inch straight shank toolholder.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the 1/2 inch shank in a compatible collet or end mill holder and verify runout before beginning a cutting operation. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is locked out before changing or inspecting the end mill. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material and coating type.
