The ACCUPRO 312207 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations where edge integrity and tool life are critical. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlCrTiN, this end mill handles demanding materials and elevated cutting temperatures. It features a 1/2 inch diameter, a 5/8 inch length of cut, a 0.060 inch corner radius, and a 38-degree helix angle. With five flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration and variable index geometry, it delivers smooth chip evacuation and reduced chatter. Center-cutting capability allows direct plunging. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators in professional machine shop environments.
This end mill is suited for high-speed milling of ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other materials where AlCrTiN coating provides thermal and oxidation resistance. The extended reach design, with a 2.25 inch reach length and a 0.475 inch neck diameter, makes it effective in pockets, slots, and deep-feature applications where standard-reach tooling cannot access. The 4 inch overall length accommodates setups requiring additional clearance from the spindle face. It is a single-end configuration and is sold individually.
Designed as a replacement-style solid carbide corner radius end mill compatible with standard 1/2 inch collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling used in CNC machining centers.
Installation should be performed by qualified machinists following shop safety protocols. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before tool changes. Seat the 1/2 inch shank fully into a clean, undamaged collet or toolholder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production run, as extended-reach tools are more sensitive to holder concentricity than standard-length end mills.
