The ACCUPRO 312153 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials in demanding machining environments. It features a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, a 0.090 inch corner radius, and five flutes with a 38-degree variable-index helix for improved chip evacuation and surface finish. The AlCrTiN coating provides high-temperature wear resistance and extended tool life compared to uncoated carbide. Micrograin carbide construction gives it the hardness needed for high-speed applications. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry, and is suited for machinists running CNC milling operations where tight tolerances and longer reach are required.
This end mill fits single-end applications in CNC machining centers and manual mills where extended reach into pockets, slots, or contoured surfaces is necessary. The 2.125 inch reach length and 4 inch overall length make it well suited for deep-cavity work and long-reach profiling operations. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand spiral flutes are standard for conventional CNC milling setups. Typical users include machinists in job shops, tool rooms, and production facilities working with steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide corner radius end mill for standard 3/8 inch collet or end mill holder setups in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the shank is fully seated and properly torqued in the collet or end mill holder before operation. Inspect the tool for chips or cracks before each use, and do not exceed the tool manufacturer-recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type. Proper coolant or air blast application is recommended to maintain coating performance and chip clearance during cutting.
