The ACCUPRO 312134 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, a 0.5 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length. The 5-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 38-degree variable index helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An AlCrTiN coating provides heat and wear resistance, making this end mill well suited for cutting hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other demanding materials. The extended reach design with a 1-1/8 inch reach length and reduced neck diameter adds versatility in deep-pocket and hard-to-reach feature machining.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills for contouring, profiling, slotting, and pocket milling where a controlled corner radius is required to reduce stress concentrations in finished parts. The 0.060 inch corner radius and centercutting geometry allow plunge entry and axial ramp moves without a pre-drilled hole. It is a single-end tool intended for production and job-shop environments where surface finish and dimensional accuracy on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces are priorities. Machinists and CNC programmers working in aerospace, die-mold, and general precision machining will find this tool appropriate for finishing and semi-finishing passes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-production end mill compatible with 3/8 inch collets, ER collet chucks, and shrink-fit toolholders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder to the recommended grip length and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer or machine builder recommendations for depth of cut, feed rate, or spindle speed for the workpiece material being machined.
