The ACCUPRO 311846 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. It features a 3/4 inch diameter with a 3.25 inch length of cut and a 6 inch overall length, making it well suited for deep-pocket and side-wall milling operations. The AlCrTiN coating provides heat and oxidation resistance, extending tool life in high-speed and dry-cutting conditions. The variable index design reduces harmonic vibration during cutting, improving surface finish and dimensional accuracy. Machinists and CNC operators working with hardened steels, stainless alloys, and superalloys will find this tool particularly effective.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight tolerances and smooth surface finishes are required. Its 5-flute, right-hand spiral flute configuration combined with a 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The centercutting design allows for direct plunge entry as well as ramping and helical interpolation. It is used in job shops, production machining environments, and tool rooms working with ferrous and non-ferrous materials that require a corner radius profile to reduce stress concentrations in milled features.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production end mill for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 3/4 inch shank diameter tool holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in a safe mode before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Use a calibrated torque wrench and the appropriate collet or end mill holder to secure the 3/4 inch shank to manufacturer-specified clamping torque. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use and replace the tool if chipping or excessive wear is observed.
