The ACCUPRO 311828 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of ferrous metals, hardened steels, and other demanding materials. It features a 3/4 inch mill diameter, a 2.75 inch length of cut, and a 5 inch overall length. The AlCrTiN coating provides high heat resistance and extended tool life in high-speed and dry cutting applications. With five flutes and a 38-degree helix angle, this end mill delivers efficient chip evacuation and a high-quality surface finish. Variable index spacing reduces chatter and vibration during aggressive passes. It is a single-end, centercutting tool, allowing plunge entry as well as peripheral milling.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills in job shop, production, and tool and die environments. The corner radius geometry — 0.12 inch radius — reduces stress concentrations at the cutting corner, extending tool life compared to square-end geometries. It is appropriate for profiling, slotting, and finishing passes where corner strength and surface finish are critical. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional CNC setups. The micrograin carbide substrate provides toughness and wear resistance in demanding cuts.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide corner radius end mill for CNC machining center spindles accepting a 3/4 inch shank diameter. Series HS designation applies to this product family within the ACCUPRO line.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators following established shop safety procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for a 3/4 inch shank to achieve correct runout and clamping force. Do not exceed the tool or spindle manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
