The ACCUPRO 311818 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance metal cutting in CNC milling applications. With a 3/4-inch mill diameter, a 2-3/4-inch length of cut, and five spiral flutes, it delivers aggressive material removal rates while maintaining edge stability. The AlTiCrN coating provides heat resistance and wear protection, extending tool life in demanding ferrous and hardened material applications. The 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, reducing heat buildup at the cutting zone. This is a single-end, right-hand cutting tool built for professional machinists and tool-and-die shops running production or maintenance operations.
The 311818 suits horizontal and vertical CNC machining centers as well as manual knee mills where precision slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling are required. Its micrograin carbide substrate supports higher surface speeds and feeds compared to conventional carbide grades. The variable index geometry helps suppress chatter during deep-cavity and side-wall cuts, making it a practical choice for mold work, fixture machining, and general metalworking operations. No extended reach configuration is present on this tool, keeping it rigid for standard-depth work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/4-inch straight shank tool holder or collet.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolroom practices. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Use a calibrated torque wrench and the appropriate collet or end-mill holder to secure the 3/4-inch shank; confirm runout with a dial indicator before engaging the workpiece. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
