The ACCUPRO 311780 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance milling in demanding machining applications. It features a 3/4 inch (0.7500 inch) mill diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 3 inch overall length. The 5-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An AlCrTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other difficult materials. The 0.250 inch corner radius reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and produces a consistent radius on workpiece corners. This tool is centercutting and capable of plunge entry. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, aerospace, and general metalworking environments are the primary users.
The 311780 is suited for finish and semi-finish milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals where corner radius features are required. Its variable index geometry helps reduce harmonic chatter during side milling and profiling passes. The single-end design and 3/4 inch shank diameter allow direct mounting in standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic tool holders. It is well suited for 3-axis and multi-axis CNC machining centers running high-speed milling programs that demand close tolerances and consistent surface finish.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and direct-use solid carbide corner radius end mill for CNC machining centers accepting a 3/4 inch shank diameter toolholder.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians with the machine powered off and spindle fully stopped. Ensure the tool holder bore and shank are clean and free of chips before seating. Torque retention fasteners and collet nuts per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout at the cutting diameter before committing to a production pass.
