The ACCUPRO 311761 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metal cutting applications. It features a 5/8 inch diameter, a 2-1/2 inch length of cut, and a 5-inch overall length. The five-flute design with a 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An AlCrTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in high-speed and dry-cutting operations. The 0.090 inch corner radius reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, extending tool life in interrupted or continuous cuts. Variable index flute spacing minimizes chatter for improved surface finish. This end mill is intended for machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in production or maintenance machining environments.
The ACCUPRO 311761 is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys where a corner radius profile is required. Its centercutting capability allows plunge milling as well as peripheral and slot milling. The single-end, right-hand cutting configuration with right-hand flute direction makes it compatible with standard vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers as well as manual knee mills. It is a strong fit for die cavities, pockets, and contour milling operations where corner integrity and surface quality are critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use cutting tool for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 5/8 inch straight shank end mill with standard ER or side-lock toolholding systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into a clean, undamaged toolholder and torque the retention mechanism according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or coating damage before use; do not run a damaged carbide end mill.
