The ACCUPRO 311699 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.625-inch mill diameter, a 0.060-inch corner radius, and a 5-flute configuration, it delivers smooth cutting action and reduced chipping on contoured workpiece features. The AlCrTiN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life in dry and semi-dry cutting conditions. A 38-degree helix angle and variable index geometry help minimize chatter and improve surface finish. This end mill is center-cutting and right-hand cutting with right-hand flute direction, making it suitable for plunge entry and full-slot operations.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where precision profiling, corner radiusing, and finishing passes are required. It is a single-end tool with a 5/8-inch shank diameter matching the mill diameter, which simplifies toolholder selection. Machinists working in job shops, aerospace fabrication, and general metalworking will find this tool appropriate for ferrous and non-ferrous materials that benefit from AlCrTiN-coated carbide tooling. The micrograin carbide substrate supports high feed rates and consistent edge integrity over extended run times.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for solid carbide corner radius end mills in the HS series; fits standard 5/8-inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic toolholders rated for that shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or collet is properly engaged before securing the tool. Seat the shank to the recommended insertion depth specified by the toolholder manufacturer and torque the collet nut or set screw per the toolholder's documentation. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and confirm runout is within acceptable limits before beginning a cut.
