The ACCUPRO 311594 is a 5-flute, solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.5-inch (12.70 mm) mill diameter, a 0.625-inch length of cut, and a 38-degree helix angle, this tool delivers aggressive material removal and improved chip evacuation. The AlTiCrN coating provides excellent heat and wear resistance, making it well-suited for harder workpiece materials and high-speed cutting conditions. The variable index flute spacing reduces harmonic vibration during cutting, contributing to better surface finish and longer tool life. It is a single-end design with a 0.5-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch overall length.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where precision profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling are required. The centercutting capability allows for direct plunge entry into the workpiece. The HS series designation indicates this tool is optimized for high-speed machining applications, particularly in ferrous and hardened materials where coating performance and carbide grade matter. It is typically installed and used by machinists and CNC programmers in production shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.5-inch straight shank toolholder or collet.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, powered-down state. Ensure the shank is fully seated and properly torqued in a compatible collet or end mill holder before operation. Verify runout with an indicator after clamping to confirm concentricity within acceptable tolerances for the application. Follow the machine manufacturer and tool manufacturer guidelines for speeds and feeds appropriate to the workpiece material and coating type.
