The ACCUPRO 311590 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. Featuring a 3/8 inch diameter with a matching 3/8 inch shank, this single-end mill delivers a 1-1/2 inch length of cut and a 4 inch overall length. The 5-flute geometry with a 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes at higher feed rates. An AlCrTiN coating provides thermal resistance and hardness, extending tool life in abrasive and high-temperature cutting conditions. The variable index flute spacing reduces chatter and vibration during aggressive cuts. Centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry into the workpart.
This end mill is suited for use on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills in production and job shop environments. It is intended for milling ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless alloys, and similar difficult-to-machine materials where a hard, heat-resistant coating is required. The 0.090 inch corner radius reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and produces a consistent corner break on milled features. Machinists working on die and mold, aerospace components, and precision fixture work will find this tool well matched to tight-tolerance profiling and slotting operations.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement tool for standard 3/8 inch collet or end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring a single-end corner radius geometry in the HS series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the shank fully within the collet or end mill holder to the manufacturer-recommended grip length before torquing the drawbar or collet nut. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production cuts. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling, following applicable shop safety procedures.
