The ACCUPRO 311574 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring a radiused corner profile. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlCrTiN for extended tool life at elevated temperatures, this single-end mill features a 0.090-inch corner radius and a 38-degree helix angle. It is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry into workpieces. With 5 flutes and a variable index design, it reduces harmonic vibration during aggressive cuts. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
The 311574 is suited for high-speed finishing and semi-finishing passes on ferrous and hardened materials where corner integrity and surface finish are critical. The AlCrTiN coating performs well in dry and semi-dry cutting conditions. With a 3/8-inch diameter, 1-1/4-inch length of cut, and 3-inch overall length, it fits standard 3/8-inch toolholders and collet chucks commonly used on vertical machining centers and CNC mills.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. The tool should be seated fully in a clean, burr-free collet or end mill holder and torqued to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or wear at regular intervals, as micrograin carbide is brittle under impact loading from interrupted cuts.
